Lovely place, everything neat and tidy. Prices reasonable and you don't have to try and find your food on the plate. Some of the sauce containers not very practical.

Gosh! This place was a treat! Unexpected to see this xombination of a spa and reaturant. Simply beautiful atmosphere. The man who waited on me was calm and didn't assume great job. Food was WOW!!!! I ordered the butter chicken ciabbatta- it's huge! And affordable! We'll worth it. I ordered the death by chocolate milkshake - which is R90. Foest time ive spent that much on a milkshake - however - it's not just a milkshake. It is ice cream, cream, Whispers, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and a small brownie served on the side all presented ted beautifully on a big plate drizzled in sprinkles and chocolate sauce. I want to bring my friends here. Decor also beautiful!!
The staff are wonderful, and the food is fantastic. I was a little disappointed the table next to me seemed to be hosting an online zoom class, complete with student discussions and loouuuud videos being debated. This is not the fault of the restaurant, but people should be more considerate of other patrons. But I will go to Blue Gate anytime, they are great!
I felt like dancing like the Ally McBeal imaginary baby, the music was fantastic whilst sitting outside enjoying the sun and beautiful decor. My mom said the Blue Gate's food is great and now I am a believer of that! Really really really best chicken mayo pizza I have had in my life! Portions of food is huge, we all had to take some home. We shared some of the desserts because we just had to taste those heavenly bites.
What a fabulous place wow.the service is attentive and top notch, the setting is beautiful you feel like you are in a magical garden. The food is yummy I had the dullstroom eggs Benedict and it was delicious love it and already planning to go visit again
Absolutely stunning venue - especially for some live tunes (The Blues Event was epic!). Phenomenal bands, well organized, good food, but the prices were a little crazy. R40 for green tea, R15 extra for almond milk on a R49 cappuccino is quite wild. There were table toppers advertising a cocktail special that had our whole table ordering cocktails only for them to tell us when the bill came that the special didn’t apply for events (fair enough but then take the table toppers off or let waitrons inform customers). Would come for an event any day for the venue and events
